Miami should take care of business here. Harris could come back and with him anything is possible but South Florida's offense is horrendous...

  Ohio State had their scare last week, they'll go ahead and close this one out the right way. Interesting to see a top 5 offense vs. a top 5 defense... thing is Ohio state also has a top 20 offense while michigan's defense is bottom 10.

My picks are looking like they're gonna be chalk so lets go against the grain a little here. I could see joe pa's boys pulling the upset. Michigan State almost got caught slipping last week against purdue so why not again. I was going to have all 3 of the big 10 teams win out but with only 2 it looks like Wisconsin gets the bid.

This should be a defensive struggle actually. two top 20 defenses go at it in this one. two horrible offenses as well. Syracuse though is better at both and is at home so Cuse it is.

NC state wins the game and the Atlantic setting up an awesome rematch against Va tech . . .

John Brantley was not who anybody thought he was. That said florida has a great defense. and coach. Florida State loves to let people hang with them so Florida eeks this out due to superior coaching.

I have no Idea how LSU has been a 1 loss team this year with no offenses... whatsoever. theyve won 6 games by a touchdown or less... Arkansas has been on a roll lately. mallett could use a big win to help his draft stock...

I guess I already made it know Im taking Wisconsin. Id love for them to win the Big 10. always have good football and basketball teams.. always overlooked

You know what... Ive got nothing to lose. i like that BYU has been better lately as compared to beginning of the year and Utah has come down quite a bit. Go Cougars...

as if there was any doubt who i was taking here lol. Like Florida, Clemson has no offense and a good defense... Id love for this to go the same way the Florida game did. I dont expect it to but by golly that'd be great

these two teams are actually pretty evenly matched. Very evenly actually when you look at their bodies of work. Oklahoma State is the home team here. So I'll take them....

anybody remember when this was a big game? USC is paying students and Notre Dame is killing them now... i probably wont watch 2 seconds of this... In the end though I think this will be a close game. Trojan offense wins it late...

Taking the Heels in game 1. NC State lost to Clemson honestly so that in and of itself lets me know they're succeptible. theyve alternated wins and losses in their last 7 also and won last week... NC at home helps also.

Both teams are defensive minded and Pitt's D is better.  I somewhat hesitated because Pitt has to travel down to Florida for this one but South Florida has a turnover prone QB and I have trouble going with a QB that cant take care of teh ball in any pick em scenario.

Oh Michigan... you have no defense and Wisconsin put up 83 last week... best of luck to you. lol

Got to take THE Ohio State here. Iowa couldnt score against Indiana (18 points), then lost to Northwestern while only putting up 17 so I dont know how they're suppposed to score on Ohio State. You can talk about their defense all day but it's not as good as Ohio state's so barring Pryor turning into Jacorry Harris I think they'll be OK.

Virginia Tech... I said they'd be back and I'd love to see them at the end of the year and by golly they havent lost since James Madison... Miami looks better with a QB tht values the ball a little and Ive always loved their D but it sounds like Harris may be making a comeback. this is not a positive. Go Hokies...

Ive liked the Cal defense all year and this is a big game for them so you never know how pumped a team can be. Emotion is huge in any sport but Stanford gets up for big games too. Im sure they'll be ready to roll for this one.

second to last game on the scoreboard on my list. I dont care. Arkansas has the better offense and defense. they win... BOOM

Im not sure Connecticut can handle syracuse's 2-3... yeah I made a basketball joke too. lol ok anyway. ugly game but Im sorry people there are BCS implications (vomits a little). If UConn wins and Pitt loses, UConn is in the driver's seat for the Big East title (vomits again) Syracuse has an awesome defense though (not 2-3) so I think they take care of business at home.

This one was actually pretty tough to choose. Both teams are very strong offensively. Baylor's offense is actually better and they're at home so they have the talent to get the win. I expect a shootout and OU's defense is more likely to get stops so they eek it out.

Got to have an upset right? Nebraska barely beating Iowa State went a long way with this pick but of course there was more to it. I feel like Nebraska's offense has fallen off quite a bit in the past few games and their putting up 20 against Kansas when everybody else in the conference has been putting 50 on them (A&M only did 45 but you get the point) says a lot. Meanwhile A&M's defense stepped up big against baylor last week in their comeback win and I say they ride that momentum to the upset. Picking up where they left off after the OU win...

Maryland has beatten the bad teams for the most part but theyve coasted agains tsome of them and have not beatten any of the good teams. FSU has coasted as well but they have actually beatten good teams so I'll trust their talent to get the job done.

and finally Utah-San Diego State. Dont know why but people underestimate SD State they have 3 losses, barely lost to Mizzou, and barely lost to TCU. The BYU loss cant be explained away but I mean Utah just lost to Notre Dame. Im sure TCU would love a State win.

My Picks: 8-4

Both teams are kind of slipping right now but I have to go with Tech at home. I like Miami's defensive athleticism to keep up with the G tech ground game for a while but the g tech d is good enough to hold Miami back also. Harris will throw a pick or two that will turn the game in tech's favor. Could be a shootout

Give me the home team here. pretty balanced game. All I know is Louisville won a game i didnt expect them to last week so heres to hoping they keep it going.

No real reason. Both teams are about even. So Miss's two conference losses were nailbiters I think they need a big one.

I could see Northwestern giving Iowa problems, especially right after Indiana did but Iowa is still one of those one loss teams holding on so they take care of business here.

I'll take the tigers to end their losing streak. Im the kinda guy that said "well theyre losing" last year and it backfired most of the time. Mizzou is the better team.

Virginia Tech has been rolling since their early struggles. If you can count Boise as a struggle.... theyre actually helping boise by continuing to win. It would be poetic for NC to win since they were pre-season favorite to some.

As much as I like Baylor Im going to go with A&M. Theyre a more balanced team offensively and defensively. Baylor basically has to outscore everybody. I dont know how griffin only has 6 picks playing like that.

If my Gamecocks lose this game they'll have noone to blame but themselves. (and/or spurrier) The east shouldnt have come down to this game but it has. Florida has the far better defense in this battle but their offense is just not there. They need to force turnovers and make plays on special teams if they're going to win. I still cant pick against my team ....

I put this game on here because of the rankings obviously but also because Miss. State is hot right now. Then I realized that they havent really played but one real team since LSU and that was a while ago. Florida you kinda halfway count but state won tht game because they played smart and didnt beat themselves (ahem gamecocks)

Noles have lost two heartbreakers in a row. Clemson is 0-3 on the road and I cant read them as it is. Florida State knows they need to win this to keep control of the Atlantic.

Arizona shocked me with the way they were handled last week. Foles gets to take on that weak SC defense this week though so I expect a bounce back week for them....Its fun to not pick USC and not have people question it lol

Nevada. no reason except i need to go to another floor in this library... may change this.

My Picks: 5-7 damn!

I hate myself for this game. Like right after Miami lost to virginia but I really dont trust mayrland. They upset somebody every year but Im going to take Miami to make up for the loss last week.

Remember back when Michigan was hot? lol they fell off hard. I like Illinois defense to win this one for them...

wanted to take louisville but if powell is out that basically kills their chances. oh well....

I like Baylor but Im gonna go away from them here. I may be overreacting to my 4-8 week last week but im trying to be as unbiased as possible. I almost took them looking at the schedule but realized that was Ok state i was looking at. lol.

Im taking Navy because they have a solid pass D. and their run game is hard to plan for/deal with for 4 quarters

North Carolina has fallen off in the last two games I feel like I know what Im getting with FSU. NC is hard to judge.

All the other kids are doing it.... alright no really I want Bama-Auburn to decided the west....

I guess Im going with father Joe to get #400 here. Theyre home and Northwestern, after giving Michigan State all they could take, didnt exactly roll over Indiana. Meanwhile I regained faith in the lions after their last win over Michigan which, as my picks show, I didnt expect to happen lol.

No research I wanted to go with TCU, Just assume they've been a better team etc. but looking more closely you see the balance between the two. TCU has the overall better defense and have also put up better offfensive numbers but Utah's defense, if you look at the individual numbers , is not that far off. TCU's offense, though better, is more run heavy where Utah has a balance to their offense. I like the Utah balanced attack at home (and Id probably take TCU if they were home honestly) to win the game and win the MWC before they leave.

We win at home... right?

Neither is playing well right now... taking K state since theyre at home

Both have their only losses given to them by teams from Oregon. Stanford is another team I like that Id normally pick just because I like them and the game could go either way yes they're at home but I cant get past the fact that they allowed washington State to score 28 on them. Oh, and that game was at home no less...

  Both defenses are Charles Barkley Turrible but Ok state has a great offense. Despite the fact that they're on the road I think they get it done.

Northwestern only does close games so this will likely be one of those. They havent been on the road in a while though so Im taking IU at home.

defensive stats almost identical. QB stats almost identical. I have the louisville RB on my fantasy team.... I need a big game lol

gotta take the pirates. Toss up sorta though. UCF has a great defense but I like ECU's offense especially at home.

Gonna go with A&M here and contend that the Baylor game was a fluke. I was stunned that tech beat them...

Brantley sucks. Both defenses are good but Georgia has been hot against the other bad SEC teams so the streak continues lol

Should be a great game. I tried to pick reasons to take Iowa but every reason i found I could find a reason Mich State would still be able to win.

Gonna take Nebraska at home for the upset. Pass defense is strong, and missouri is pass happy . Texas game was a good wake up for the Huskers.

6 losses amongs them right? all on the road. but I still like cal to break through here. No real strong reasons. Just no reasons not to take them...

Every pick em I have to have at least two picks where I just say F the statistics Im taking them. and this will be one of those. They beat my gamecocks, and took Auburn to the wire, they get up for good opponents. Miss. St has a number beside their name but Im not fooled...

I try to make it a habit not to pick teams that lost to Iowa state as my winners . . .

Penn State's offense may be too bad to take advantage of Michigan's horrible D. and their D isnt good enough to stop the Michigan offense enough.... so yeah.

It's sad about the Rutgers player who (last I heard) is paralyzed from the neck down after a hit he made last week. Going on the road when dealing with something emotional like that isnt a good recipe. Rutgers is prone to close games as it is.

Yep, think im finally picking Notre Dame to win. when choosing navy games I always look at the opponent's run D. Notre dame seems to be pretty solid. You can slow down the triple option you should be able to control the game against Navy.

Gonna take Illinois here. Their defense seems to keep them in games. The most points scored on them is 26 and they held Ohio State to 24. Indiana is all offense. If their offense doesnt travel they def. lose.

My hatred for Clemson is understood right? alright good.

Both hung a 50 spot on Kansas. i feel like Baylor takes care of business more often when theyre better than their opponent. K state seems to coast more. also helps that baylor is at home.

I like both teams. Cal seems to be a different team on the road (all losses are road losses) though they're home here. AZ State has 3 losses to rank teams. All of which could have gone the other way if you take a play here or there away. AZ state's luck changes

Two stout defenses. Wisconsin has the better overall offense but their strength is the run, which happens to be where Iowa is strongest on defense. That combined with the fact that Iowa is the home team get them the win.

The number of close games these two have is ridiculous . . . a score here or there are what seperate the champs from the disappointments though right. Auburn is all offense and LSU is basically all defense. Unfortunately i think Cam Newton will be smiling at the end of this one as well.

F it, im taking the Heels. Should be a close game and in a close game mistakes can make the difference. I still dont trust Jacorry Harris not to turn the ball over so his risk (9 interceptions) vs. Yates' risk (1 interception) says go with the Heels.

So what are the odds of 3 straight #1's going down? I say pretty good. I dont know one person who wasnt shocked to see OU at #1 when the BCS came out. I guess it gives a "traditional power" boost or something. They havent impressed me in any way this year, close game to Utah State but yeah, that was the opener. Close game against Air Force but Air force was ranked last week. Missouri had a close game against San Diego state right? san diego state beat that Air force team so id say those two cancel out so that tells me that Mizzou and OU are at about the same level. I almost hedged when i thought about murray running the ball but Mizzou's run D is better than their pass D so they could give him issues early. Mizzou is also at home. 2 upsets in 2 dif. columbia's by two different teams lol why not?

Aggh, a few weeks ago I may have taken air force, still wouldnt mind them winning. Theyve slowed down over the past few weeks though.

My Picks: 5-7

This is Missouri's first road game of the season. A&M has only played two good teams but they played them in the last two weeks and have lost by a touchdown or less each time and this is easily the most talented team Missouri will have played. Worst part about this miss is that i forced Chief Crazy to take Mizzou . . . lol

East Carolina's D has little-to-no chance of stoppign NC State's offense. Like I said before, like the ECU offense, defense is horrendous though . . . Awesome . . . best part was the fact that it went to OT

Yeah so Tech isnt going to be able to stop the OK State passing at all. I mean they lost to Iowa State . . . they may score but not enough. whatever

Kinda finding the logic in all of you picking USC hard to follow . . . I thought this game would be pretty balanced. SC's Defense is ranked 99th in the nation lol Cal's is ranked 8th... Now both of Cal's losses have come on the road as they are here but the Arizona loss was by 1 point so I dont feel like theyre that much worse on the road. Plus this is the year teams get to beat up on USC, Cal wants this. Ok so I look like somewhat of an idiot. I doubt any of you picked SC without hesitation . . .

I reaaaaaaaaaaaally want Auburn to lose. Ive picked multiple teams to lose that I WANT to lose but this game could go either way. Auburn's luck has to run out eventually. Both have had close games with teams theyre much better than. Arkansas was the team that let me know my Gamecocks could beat Bama when they lost to them by 4. Well Mallet going down def. didnt help but perhaps I wanted Auburn to lose a little too much. Theyve gotten better since the Clemson game

I took Michigan State to beat Michigan because of their defense . . . Iowa's is better . The score is misleading. Iowa owned Michigan

Guess I'll take Navy. That offense is hard to prep for and a team like SMU is used to being thrown against as it is. The Navy O will dominate the ball and not let SMU's pass attack be a factor. I'll take any win i can get this week.

Games like this one are ones that have killed me in the past. Where I want it to happen before I do any research so Id need to see some STRONG evidence that tells me it's not worth my time. Didnt find any. Ohio State has played one team halfway worth a damn and that was Miami at home. Jacorry Harris threw 4 interceptions as I recall and Miami only lost by 12. That was all I needed to see to know that USC wasnt as good as their #2 and now #1 ranking. they had their first road game a couple weeks ago and beat Illinois 24-13... back on the road here. I think the Badgers will come through for me and yes the fact that Wisconson lost AT Michigan state and not at home helped me keep this pick. BOOM.

Alright I'll take Florida here. Their offense is butt but their D is studly. bad offenses usually play better at home. and Gameday picked them. I mean if he picked them after the way he was talking about how horrible they are then this matchup must work for them. Welp, this loss means that my gamecocks still have control of their own destiny in the east, i should be happy about that right? divison title means nothing when the division sucks . . .

I dont know what Colorado is. I like Baylor. . . boom. I'll admit being afraid when i saw baylor was down on my bottomline earlier.

I really like Air Force as you all know. San Dieog State has some offense here though. Their QB is a prospect and so is their RB. If Air Force has some turnovers they could get upset. Discipline not usually a problem for the Armed Forces teams though. I think im going to tune into this game though. Has the potential to be a good one. In the end the close game with BYU is why i didnt take SD St. I try to tell you all I dont put games on here for nothing . . . the last five minutes or so were awesome. I love the armed forces academies. They play every down like its the last and the last they play like they have a chance no matter what the score.

I dont think Hawaii should be slept on. especially at home. I want Nevada to remain ranked though for Boise's sake so Im going to takea them here. Would NOT be surprised if they won in a close one though. Well, Nevada had a shot with about 2 minutes left but Kaepernick threw a pick . . . no points in the first half though??? does Hawaii have a D?
