A new era in SC basketball. . .

Today Darrin Horn was named the new head coach at USC.

Horn took his alma mater, Western Kentucky, to the sweet 16 this year, and had an overall record of 111-48 with the school.

He brings a running fast pace offense, and full court pressure defense with him to the SEC.

His style should fit in perfectly with the current personnel.

Last year Courtney Lee and Tyrone Brazleton were like Devan Downey and Zam Fredrick for Horn's Western Kentucky team.

Throw in Baniulus and Raley-Ross to increase the shooting threat. Down low we'll have Muldrow, Holmes, Archie, and Darius Morrow (incoming Freshmen ranked #113 overall, and #30 PF by ESPN).

Kudo's to the AD, Horn is the perfect fit, and at 35 he should be around for a while.

I look forward to some intense battles with Bruce Pearl at Tennessee and Oliver Purnell at Clemson in the near future.

Go Gamecocks!!!
